This entry represents the C-terminal of the ribosomal protein S5, which is related to the 30S ribosomal protein S5P from Sulfolobus acidocaldarius ( SWISSPROT ). Ribosomal protein S5 is one of the proteins from the small ribosomal subunit. In Escherichia coli, S5 is known to be important in the assembly and function of the 30S ribosomal subunit. Mutations in S5 have been shown to increase translational error frequencies.

You can view these alignments in various ways but please note that some types of alignment are never generated while others may not be available for all families, most commonly because the alignments are too large to handle.

Trees
